Hello Daniel
I understand what you are saying, most people dont like to give personal details.
In the UK and other countries, the Law is changing so that social media companies will by law have to have members personal details, (names, address, contact details) to help fight and combat crime, fraud, scams, abuse and other things.

On the otherside, even facebook, twitter, insta, whatsapp all collect far more data on members than you realise such as ( name, address, bank details, locations, images, family and friends relationships data, where you shop, where you go and who with) They do all this by uploading tracking cookies, info gathering cookies and lots of other cookies onto your devices. Scary but true.
I used Moosocial as the basis for our regional network https://altmark-live.de to support our regional economy in a part of Germany that can work very limited due to Corona (shops, restaurants, museums must remain closed, events do not take place instead of) giving something under the arm and giving at least a virtual opportunity.

However, the unstable chat module is becoming more and more of a burden. Despite the fact that I was promised 1 1/2 months ago that the new chat was ready, unfortunately nothing happens.
Either the project is too big for the development team or the CakePHP is the wrong system to properly program something like this.
I've already paid for the support for this year. But if even a paid installation of a function that exists in another module takes more than a week (activating a link to subsequently share business directory feeds on Facebook), this is not a long-term basis for work. I'll look at it this month, then I'll decide whether to look for another company as a partner.
As I said, the script is great (the layout is not so) in terms of scope, but when the support is so sluggish, the great purchased functions are of little use to me. - And I'm not even talking about the announced update, which should be ready months ago.
Thanks for the showcase. For the long-term basic support, please contact me thru skype then let's discuss further details to get the process more better and faster.
The site requires you to have a .edu email to sign up since it is exclusively for college students, but the video on the home page gives an idea of what we've done. Pretty heavily customized version 2.5 right now since we absolutely need mobile apps for our target audience.
